Dear Website Editors,

After the conclusion of the third and final testing and fixing phase, we will now, as previously announced, activate the revised modules in the live system next week on 17 February 2026.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you, as editors, for your feedback. As tireless testers, you persevered even when — due to architectural constraints — an already resolved error reappeared. Without you and your keen eye for detail, we would not have identified errors occurring in rare nesting combinations.

I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to the ZDV, in particular Ms Slowinski and Mr Baidikov, for their tireless and reliable handling of tickets, the revision of the modules, and their dedicated support of the website. Based on my experience working with external agencies, I am genuinely very pleased to be able to collaborate with them.

With the launch of the revised modules, after more than two years, we are finally once again in a position to independently implement changes to the live version of our websites and to upgrade to new WordPress versions. From next week onwards, we will not only have a future-proof program code, but also improvements in accessibility and mobile display. We will be able to implement requested changes in future — something that has not been possible in the live version until now. The new websites significantly load faster; this is also relevant for search engine optimization, as faster-loading pages are rated more favorably and consequently appear higher in search results.

On your side, you will not need to take any action initially as a result of the transition. Your content will remain unchanged, as only the programming of the modules has been renewed. After the changeover, you will therefore still see the current version of your pages.

Nevertheless, I would kindly ask you to review your pages once the transition has taken place.

Should you encounter any issues and the guidance provided does not resolve them, please get in touch, – we have set aside time to advise you and to address specific cases.

Instructions and details regarding the support available can be found on the following website:

There you will also find a general overview of resolved issues, new functionalities and configuration options, as well as guidance on aspects you should consider for your pages in future.

Sincerely,

Franz Rothlauf, CIO
